Amigo Function defines Form

AMIGO is the care robot of Tech United. AMIGO means Autonomous Mate for IntelliGent Operations. His height is approximately 1,5 m, he has two arms and moves with a platform on four wheels. To orientate in the domestic environment AMIGO uses three laser range finders and a Kinect-camera so he can see in 3D.

The research of the care robots is focussed on: Human-Robot Interaction and Cooperation, Navigatie and Mapping in a dynamic environment, Computer Vision and Object Recognition under normal light conditions, Object Manipulation, Adaptive Behaviors, Behavior Integration, Ambient Intelligence, Standardization and System Integration.
